Soleil themed Easter Week 2016

So yeah, I've spend this whole Easter Week in Fuko's house!
We planned to stay together during these holidays so we could start sewing our cosplays for the Barcelona's Comic Con (May) and our week turned out being really busy. I went to Manresa on Tuesday afternoon and we went to buy some fabrics to start our first cosplays.
The last time I went to Fukoland to make cosplays together we left all of our essential sewing stuff in our students flat, so we just cut our patterns and stayed in front of them like

Unlike that past unfortunate day, we DID have our sewing stuff this week. Everything was fine. Except from the fact the tape measure was missing. Due to that dumb fail, we had to draw our patterns in the most creative ways, and that's how I ended up drawing my own body shape.

After 3 nights sewing from midnight to 5 a.m./6 a.m., we almost finished our first cosplays. Here you have some pics:

On Saturday, we celebrated Fuko's birthday with Jud, Aya, Patis and Eva. Following Jud's advice, we did the 125Q Hogwarts house test. Patis and I were sorted into Slytherin, Aya was sorted into Hufflepuff and Eva was sorted into Gryffindor. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Once we had dinner, we went to the Soleil room and had some drinks and shots and, later, we started playing Slenderman Sanatorium. We actually recorded it so we could post it in some days.

apology letter begins

Dear girls, I swear I tested the screen-recording program before that night, and it worked. I don't know what we did wrong, but the video files only shows my main background while we shout nonsense things. I'm so sorry.

Japan Weekend Barcelona 2016

So yeah, last weekend there was the Japan Weekend con in Barcelona. Saturday tickets were sold out quickly and we hadn't been able to get ours, but thanks to Alek (Fuko's friend) we were able to buy them.
SATURDAY

We woke up at 8.
We put our cosplays on.
I lost one of my elvish ears.

After one hour looking for the lost ear, we went to the con. When we arrived, we went for a walk and Fuko bought a Love Live! energy drink -which happened to be surprisingly useful later- and we met some friends (Patis, Miki, Aya...).
I don't know why, I hated how I looked that day. The make-up didn't end up looking how I expected, the wig was messed up and all the photos turned out horrible. I've already seen some photos people took me and omg, I look ugly as fuck and so done with the world. Also, I brought a Silmaril to the con so I could have some photos holding it (it was a Fluorite ball, expensive). So a random photographer came to take us some photos; after that, he asked me to borrow it and, when I gave it to him, he moved his hand out and
the Silmaril fell and got broken into tiny pieces.

Fortunately, the photographer was so nice that he decided to give me the money I paid for the Silmaril back, so it's fine. But seeing my dear gem dying so tragically made me sad.

After having dinner with some friends, we went to see the cosplay contest with Aya, Patis, Sora and Kai. When a Miku Hatsune got on the stage to dance a Vocaloid song we all expected something typical like "World is mine". It wasn't that one.

Luka Luka Night Fever

Next to that one, a Len Kagamine dressed with the Senbonzakura outfit got on the stage carrying a leak. He started dancing Levan Polkka. Then, the music stopped and another song started playing.

Luka Luka Night Fever

Following this performance, it was PriPara's turn. A Sophie Houjo got on the stage. Since Fuko is a huge PriPara fan, she got very excited. We all thought a song from PriPara would start playing. We were wrong.

Literally all of us

SUNDAY

We had great expectations for this day because we were going to meet more friends who didn't get tickets for Saturday. Also, Eva was coming with us and she was going to vlog the whole day. When she was finished doing her make-up, she got her camera and started vlogging...until 1 minute later, when the camera ran out of battery.

Eva: Yeah, the camera is new and I didn't charge its battery before.

It wasn't a big deal since Fuko has a portable charger and we could charge the camera's battery during our journey towards the con.
We arrived at the con and while Eva and Fuko were getting ready at the bathroom, I was waiting for my Cornelia (Patis).

Since our friend Aya was going to participate at the karaoke contest, we sat in front of the stage for a while. As we expected, she won the contest! (She really sings beautifully)
After that, we watched Kiseki Idols' (a Love Live! cosplay group) performance. Fuko and Alek were cosplaying Choromatsu and Osomatsu from Osomatsu-san, so they just stayed in front to the stage yelling and dancing.

After that, I went to Burger King to have lunch with Fuko, Aya, Jud, Eva, Cris and Patis at 5 pm. We left early because Fuko had to study and we had nothing to do at the con anymore.

Here are some photos I edited from the con

♒ [LUOLATTE] ♒ I'm a great student. (no)

Today I skipped classes so I could sew my cosplay for the Barcelona's Japan Weekend (this weekend) so yeah, I'm a great student. I only have a few things left of the dress I'm sewing now. In case you don't know what cosplay is, is the Halloween version of Elyon Portrait (W.I.T.C.H.).

Tomorrow I'll make the spikes of the dress and the leaves crown. I'm very excited to cosplay her for the first time, I've been a W.I.T.C.H. freak since I was a little girl. Also, my friend Patis is going to cosplay Cornelia with me so it's great, we have the bff squad after all.

This is the final cosplay schedule for this upcoming weekend:

The left ones are Fuko's cosplays and the ones on the right are mine.

◢ Book Review ◣ This is where it ends

This is where it ends - Marieke Nijkamp

LUO TALKS:
I've just finished reading this book and I'm literally out of words to say. I knew what this book was about before adding it in my tbr list, I knew it couldn't have a happily ever after because it's basically incompatible with the main plot. I just found it interesting because this kind of tragedy doesn't happen in my country (fortunately) and news barely talk about it when there's a shooting at an American high school.
I felt very attached with some of the characters but I just felt indifferent towards Claire; her point of view was a pain for me, and I just wanted to fly to what the next character had to tell. For some reason, I didn't hate Tyler; I just think his loneliness beat him.
I have to say, all that happened through these pages felt just real. I was really scared when the shooter started killing people around him and the characters kept seeing their friends die. Also, some students tried to inform about their situation on Twitter and the press just kept tweeting them...like, they're desperately asking for help, what the fuck's going on with you. Furthermore, there was a point of view of a student who skipped classes that day and wrote her thoughts in her blog and her readers didn't seem happy at all to see that she skipped classes that day and that she wasn't through the same hell the other students were.
The end  itself was what hurt me the most, I think; imagining all this people remembering the lost ones.
Before finishing this review, I'd like to share a quote of this book:

When we reach the first floor, the hallways are empty. There are only the bodies and the bloodstains and the screams that haunt the school. On our way to the main entrance, we pass the doors to the auditorium, which are wide open now. The seats are empty.

ILLUMINAE (The ILLUMINAE Files #1) ☁ READING APPRECIATION POST ☁

I started ILLUMINAE in my birthday and I finished it a while ago; I could say it certainly became one of my favourite books! Let me say that this is not an appreciation post of the book (I'm going to write this one soon) but a reading appreciation of the book. This means I'm going to show you my experience with it. It has some pictures I took while reading it, a drawing I made of the main characters (Kady & Ezra), some Goodreads updates that reflect my feelings and thoughts about it and there's also a song I ended up associating with the book plot (mainly with its end at the Alexander).

Langblr & Chill (( ̄( ̄▽ ̄) ̄))

That side of tumblr obsessed with languages
Which learns many languages at the same time
And craves to learn more
Until they know them all

Ladies and Gentlemen, we're the Langblr community.

What can you find in a random langblr blog?

I forgot about memes but let me say the whole community is a meme itself.

And that's just a small part of it. Langblr has its own world where you know people according to the language(s) they're learning. Usually, you make your squad up of people who learn the same language(s) as you do or you just follow people because of their awesomeness (this is very common at this community). Sometimes, there's people who encourage you to learn their native language or one of the languages they're learning. In my opinion, the most popular ones are French, German, Spanish and Polish (or that's what my dashboard gets filled up of - I'm not complaining). Thanks to the langblr community, I know I can start learning (almost) any language because it's full of useful resources (bless people who make masterposts) and native users willing to answer your questions as good as they can.
Now, let's see some of my favourites. Click the images to check out the blogs

 languagoclock af-hverju

 norwegian-wool linguistisch

 scottish-polyglotsprachtraeume

 teacupful-of-languages thelanguageanon

They all have good posts and are nice people. Whether you're just entering this community or you've been there for a while, I highly recommend to follow them.

As you can see, this is just a sneak peek of how the Langblr community works. But if you really want to get through it, you just have to browse the #langblr tag or the tag of whatever language you're learning/ you want to learn / you're interested in.

This is my langblr account

My languages posts are mainly of Icelandic and Japanese, but I sometimes reblog posts about Swedish and Polish because I also love these languages and I hope to get to learn them someday. In my languages-to-learn wishlist there's also Slovak, but it's usually difficult to find posts about this language.
Hope you liked this post!
