【Luo Tianyi - Scarlet Ball 血色舞会】My cosplay pics

Hi there! As I also cosplayed Luo Tianyi from Scarlet Ball (Vocaloid China) I'd like to show you some photos and WIP.

 First of all, this is how the Soleil atelier looked when we started making our cosplays:

The yellow fabric is mine; the red one is from Fuko's cosplay (Yuezheng Ling)

We spent some weeks sewing our cosplays. To be honest, I wasn't motivated at all because I barely liked my costume's design. I really hesitated I could finish my cosplay because I had lots of exams and I wasn't in the mood to sew a dress I didn't like at all. 

These photos are from the day I made the pleated skirt. In the left you can see my flatmate Eva who was also sewing her cosplay and seemed very amused about how my skirt ended up.

These are from the day I made the top. I really enjoyed making it but I didn't like how the black thing looked on me (but that's because my waistline is like my Michael Kors bag, it doesn't exist.

   

This is from the day I cut the large skirt. It really took a long time to paint it, but I had a lot of fun. While I was sitting on the floor trying to not fuck it up, Fuko was looking at me from the sofa; such an emotive scene.

I finished my cosplay the day before the con, but I could sleep my necessary amount of hours. Cristina from Represart took us some photos (thank you, Ruby!):

It's been a while, huh?

I just don't know what to say, I completely abandoned this blog and I thought it would never come back to life...until now.
I'm back and many things happened until now, let me resume them for y'all:

• Soleil joined the Cosplay Contest in the Japan Weekend Con in Barcelona as Luo Tianyi and Yuezheng Ling from Vocaloid China (March Rain)

• Soleil attended the 60th Anniversary Eurovision Song Contest in London, and it was pretty awesome. I saw Dima Bilan and other great artists

• I cosplayed Fëanor (The Silmarillion - Tolkien) and children feared me and some people called me Arwen

• Soleil enjoyed this year's Eurovision Song Contest and voted for Loïc Nottet (Belgium) and Måns Zelmerlöw (Sweden)

• I spent the whole summer working (and living) in a camping as a pizza maker (people used to call me "pizza girl") and I met great people from other countries such as Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and Latvia. 

• I fell in love with Nordic languages.

• I joined the langblr community in tumblr (my url is luo-tenenbaum)

• I started my 3rd year of university.

• I started learning Icelandic.

• I cosplayed Kikuri (Jigoku Shoujo) and Luo Tianyi (Scarlet Ball) with Fuko as Yuezheng Ling at the Manga Con in Barcelona.

• Soleil went to Måns Zelmerlöw's concert in Barcelona. It was so cool!

Soleil news + other stuff

Hola ~ Siento no haber colgado aún las entradas que dije, pero esta semana he empezado de nuevo la universidad y he estado bastante ocupada. Debo decir también, que me da mucha pereza escribirlas ya que son de eventos del año pasado y tengo que pensar en todos los detalles, aunque fuesen unos eventos geniales. ¡Prometo que las colgaré pronto!

Ayer quedé con Ichigo y fuimos de paseo por Barcelona ~ Estuvimos hablando mucho de AKB0048, ya que vamos a hacer cosplay de Takamina y Yuuko pronto y estamos muy entusiasmadas. También hablamos de ESDLA y de la última película de la trilogía de El Hobbit. ¡Fue una tarde genial! (o^▽^o) También compré una revista para leer en el tren ~

Yesterday I met Ichigo and we went for a walk in Barcelona ~ We talked about AKB0048, since we're cosplaying Takamina and Yuuko soon and we're very excited. We also talked about LOTR and the last film of "The Hobbit" trilogy. It was a great afternoon! (o^▽^o) I also bought a magazine to read on the train ~

Buenas ~ Ya hacía tiempo que no actualizaba el blog. Estos días he estado cosiendo mis próximos cosplays y...sorpresa, ¡he terminado un cosplay! :D También he recibido 2 pelucas y 2 pares de lentillas que también enseñaré en este post. De todos modos, aún tengo que encargar una peluca así que aún hay dinero por gastar ಥ_ಥ

Hi, hi ~ It has been a long time with no blog updates. These days I've been sewing my upcoming cosplays and...surprise, I have finished a cosplay! :D I have also received 2 wigs and 2 pairs of lenses that I'll also show in this post. By the way, I still have a wig to order so I still have some money to spend ಥ_ಥ

¿Qué puedo decir? Ambas pelucas son muy bonitas y muy buenas (salieron caras) y tienen mucho pelo. Las lentillas son bastante cómodas y muy bonitas también (las verdes me encantan).

What can I say? Both wigs are so pretty and their quality is great (they were expensive tho). The lenses are quite confortable and very beautiful (I love the green ones).

Esta semana estoy en casa de Fuko y hemos aprovechado para hacer preview juntas de las adorables understudies. También hemos sacado algunas fotos del cosplay de Takamina para enseñar el resultado final. ¡Este cosplay lo llevaré la semana que viene en el Akihabara@Deep!

Cosplans

Como dije en la última entrada, he cambiado un poco mis planes de cosplay para el SDM. Pero hace poco decidí también asistir al Akihabara@Deep de este septiembre ya que mucha gente a la que conozco y amigos van a ir también y, además, Fuko va a participar en el concurso de cosplay con su hermano. Por lo tanto, asistir en otro evento significa que...¡otro cosplay se une a la fiesta! (no). Bueno, debo decir que el cosplay de este evento me hace muchísima ilusión. Es de uno de mis personajes favoritos del anime en general. Y, por supuesto, lo voy a anunciar el primero:

As I said in the last post, I've changed a little my cosplans for the November con (Salón del Manga). But I've recently decided to assist at this September con as well (Akihabara@Deep) because so many friends are going there too and my cosplay partner, Fuko, will participate on the cosplay contest with her brother. Therefore, assisting to another con means that...another cosplay joins the party! (no). Well, I have to say that I'm very excited to do this September cosplay. It's one of my favourite characters from the anime world. And of course, I'll announce it firstly:

Aunque no es su traje de escenario (no tengo suficiente tiempo para hacerlo, de momento :_ ) tengo muchas ganas de llevarlo. Este es su atuendo de "tiempo libre" (es oficial). Es muuuuuuuy bonito

Hemos pospuesto los cosplays de HNNKN por varias razones y en lugar de estos, haremos los cosplays de las adorables "understudies" Makoto Yokomizo y Suzuko Kanzaki, de AKB0048. El cosplay "chan chan" (XD) es otra versión de Luo Tianyi, esta vez de la canción "March Rain". Esta vez también, Fuko llevará su cosplay de Ling Caiyin de esta misma canción. Y bueno, luego está Taeil ;D

We've postponed HNNKN cosplays for some reasons and instead of them, we'll be cosplaying the adorable understudies Makoto Yokomizo and Suzuko Kanzaki, from AKB0048. The "chan chan" cosplay is another Luo Tianyi's version, from the song "March Rain". This time as well Fuko we'll be cosplaying Ling Caiyin from the same song. And then, well, there's Taeil ;D

Esta fecha fue muy especial, ya que hace tres años en aquel mismo día mi pareja cosplayer actual y yo decidimos hacer cosplay juntas y también nos hicimos mejores amigas. Este hecho significa mucho para nosotras, especialmente una promesa de mejorar nuestros trabajos en cosplay y aceptar los retos que nos ayuden a ser mejores cosplayers. This date was very special, because 3 years ago from then my cosplay partner and I decided to do cosplay together and also became best friends. In order to celebrate it, we started our shared cosplay page in Facebook as a cosplay pair named "Soleil". This event means a lot for us, specially that we promise to improve our cosplay works and take on the challenges that will help us to be better cosplayers.
