Japan Weekend Barcelona 2016

So yeah, last weekend there was the Japan Weekend con in Barcelona. Saturday tickets were sold out quickly and we hadn't been able to get ours, but thanks to Alek (Fuko's friend) we were able to buy them.

SATURDAY

We woke up at 8. 

We put our cosplays on.
I lost one of my elvish ears.

After one hour looking for the lost ear, we went to the con. When we arrived, we went for a walk and Fuko bought a Love Live! energy drink -which happened to be surprisingly useful later- and we met some friends (Patis, Miki, Aya...). 

I don't know why, I hated how I looked that day. The make-up didn't end up looking how I expected, the wig was messed up and all the photos turned out horrible. I've already seen some photos people took me and omg, I look ugly as fuck and so done with the world. Also, I brought a Silmaril to the con so I could have some photos holding it (it was a Fluorite ball, expensive). So a random photographer came to take us some photos; after that, he asked me to borrow it and, when I gave it to him, he moved his hand out and 

the Silmaril fell and got broken into tiny pieces.

Fortunately, the photographer was so nice that he decided to give me the money I paid for the Silmaril back, so it's fine. But seeing my dear gem dying so tragically made me sad.

After having dinner with some friends, we went to see the cosplay contest with Aya, Patis, Sora and Kai. When a Miku Hatsune got on the stage to dance a Vocaloid song we all expected something typical like "World is mine". It wasn't that one.

Next to that one, a Len Kagamine dressed with the Senbonzakura outfit got on the stage carrying a leak. He started dancing Levan Polkka. Then, the music stopped and another song started playing.

Following this performance, it was PriPara's turn. A Sophie Houjo got on the stage. Since Fuko is a huge PriPara fan, she got very excited. We all thought a song from PriPara would start playing. We were wrong.

SUNDAY

We had great expectations for this day because we were going to meet more friends who didn't get tickets for Saturday. Also, Eva was coming with us and she was going to vlog the whole day. When she was finished doing her make-up, she got her camera and started vlogging...until 1 minute later, when the camera ran out of battery.

Eva: Yeah, the camera is new and I didn't charge its battery before.

It wasn't a big deal since Fuko has a portable charger and we could charge the camera's battery during our journey towards the con.

We arrived at the con and while Eva and Fuko were getting ready at the bathroom, I was waiting for my Cornelia (Patis). 

Since our friend Aya was going to participate at the karaoke contest, we sat in front of the stage for a while. As we expected, she won the contest! (She really sings beautifully)

After that, we watched Kiseki Idols' (a Love Live! cosplay group) performance. Fuko and Alek were cosplaying Choromatsu and Osomatsu from Osomatsu-san, so they just stayed in front to the stage yelling and dancing.

After that, I went to Burger King to have lunch with Fuko, Aya, Jud, Eva, Cris and Patis at 5 pm. We left early because Fuko had to study and we had nothing to do at the con anymore.

【Luo Tianyi - Scarlet Ball 血色舞会】My cosplay pics

Hi there! As I also cosplayed Luo Tianyi from Scarlet Ball (Vocaloid China) I'd like to show you some photos and WIP.

 First of all, this is how the Soleil atelier looked when we started making our cosplays:

The yellow fabric is mine; the red one is from Fuko's cosplay (Yuezheng Ling)

We spent some weeks sewing our cosplays. To be honest, I wasn't motivated at all because I barely liked my costume's design. I really hesitated I could finish my cosplay because I had lots of exams and I wasn't in the mood to sew a dress I didn't like at all. 

These photos are from the day I made the pleated skirt. In the left you can see my flatmate Eva who was also sewing her cosplay and seemed very amused about how my skirt ended up.

These are from the day I made the top. I really enjoyed making it but I didn't like how the black thing looked on me (but that's because my waistline is like my Michael Kors bag, it doesn't exist.

   

This is from the day I cut the large skirt. It really took a long time to paint it, but I had a lot of fun. While I was sitting on the floor trying to not fuck it up, Fuko was looking at me from the sofa; such an emotive scene.

I finished my cosplay the day before the con, but I could sleep my necessary amount of hours. Cristina from Represart took us some photos (thank you, Ruby!):

Salmón del cómic - Barcelona 2014

Uy, cuanto tiempo sin escribir...mis disculpas, entre el cosplay y exámenes, estos días estaba bastante indispuesta xD Hacía mucho tiempo que no hacía una entrada de un evento. A decir verdad, aún tengo la del Expotaku de Tarragona del año pasado en borradores ಥ_ಥ 

En fin, vamos allá ~

Debido a que los viernes no tengo clase, fui a casa de Fuko lo más temprano posible (cofcof21:30cofcof). Cosimos un poco y nos fuimos a dormir.

VIERNES

- Despertador a las 11:30

- Fuko en clase, me deja una nota de buena esposa indicándome mi desayuno y dándome ánimos con el cosplay.

- Desayuné y me puse decente.

- Me apalanqué con la perra.

- Cosí los bordes de las mangas.

- Los cosí mal.

- Los descosí.

- Fui a buscar a Fuko. 

Fuko: ¿Has avanzado mucho?

Yo: ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ ಥ_ಥ 

Después de comer, empezamos con la gran maratón de terminar los cosplays. Con hits de hace 10 años (y más) acompañándonos, por supuesto. De vez en cuando salía Block B por ahí  ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Cuando una estaba en la máquina, la otra estaba pintando o quemándose con la termocola. En un momento, hacia las 20h o por ahí, la perra se nos quedó mirando con una cara tal que así:

Del ataque de risa que nos dió, perdimos la mitad de los alfileres.

Sobre las 2 de la madrugada, Fuko terminó su cosplay. A lo que se puso a hacer la maleta y después a ayudarme con las cosas que me quedaban. A las 4 de la madrugada, terminamos mi cosplay. Me probé la parte de arriba. No me entraba.

Al final le enchufamos una cremallera y lo declaramos finiquitado. A las 4:20 fuimos a dormir, con el despertador a las 8:45 de la mañana, para coger un bus a las 9:20.

SÁBADO

Hacia las 11 llegamos a mi piso, con pintas de resaca, por supuesto. Pasamos un buen rato arreglándonos y recibiendo llamadas varias de Rukia y de la Mancomunidad. Como las buenas estrellas de cine siempre, llegamos tarde al evento. Una vez ahí, nos encontramos con Naranja, Ivette, Rebull, Rubén, Aya y Rukia y fuimos a comer. As always, no podía faltar la figura random del evento. Un hombre de mediana edad vino hacia donde comíamos y empezó a hablarnos. Finalmente, al ver que las únicas que le hacíamos caso éramos Fuko y yo, sólo nos hablaba a nosotras.

Random: Vais muy guapas. Tú vas muy sexy (Fuko) y tú vas preciosa (la menda).

Fuko: Gracias...

Random: Podríais venir conmigo. Os haría una sesión de fotos, es dinero fácil.

Menda: No nos desnudamos, gracias.

Random: No, no haría falta. Sólo con un chaleco antibalas estaríais geniales. De verdad, es dinero fácil y sois muy guapas.

Fuko: No, gracias, de verdad.

Random: (a mí) De verdad, estarías preciosa con uno de estos chalecos. Yo te consigo uno y te hago unas fotos...

Fuko: Que no quiere xD

*se repite secuencia durante 10 minutos, hasta que conseguimos que se vaya*

Después de comer se nos unió Marina y nos fuimos con Naranja, Rebull, Ivette y Rubén a hacer nuestro photoshoot, por cortesía de nuestra kameko Marina.

Después del photoshoot, Rubén, Marina, Fuko y yo entramos en el evento (quedaba 1h y poco para que cerrara, molamos). No aguantamos mucho de pié (especialmente Fuko) y nos sentamos en una zona donde había poca gente. Automáticamente aparece una grupal de El Hobbit, con unos cuantos enanos, un Bilbo y un Thranduil. Un Thranduil. MI DIVA. A lo que voy corriendo hacia ahí con Marina y su reflex y a la que puedo me meto entre la multitud y le pido una foto a la Diva en la que parecemos pino y hobbit. Pero yo toda feliz ~

Después del Salón, fuimos al Qué pasta! a cenar con Marina y Rubén.

Cuando ya se acercaba medianoche, Marina, Fuko y yo fuimos tirando hacia Sants para coger el tren. Un par de paradas después, se nos juntó un macrogrupo de canis con alcohol y porros que dejaron el vagón con una niebla de marihuana. A pesar de que uno de ellos estaba sentado a mi lado, no se percataron de nuestras pintas hasta que nos levantamos para bajar en nuestra parada, cosa que provocó una lluvia de varios comentarios ingeniosos:

- ¡HOSTIA P**A!

- ¡VIENEN DE TOKIO!

- ¡WISINMA HOSTIA P**A!

- ¡SON DEL MANGA!

- ¡UAN PIS! (ONE PIECE)

Nosotras, riendo disimuladamente, nos equivocamos de puerta al salir, cosa que aumentó la cantidad de comentarios ingeniosos.

- ¡POR LA OTRA PUERTA, MANGAS!

- ¡EN JAPÓN VAN DISTINTOS!

Hace falta decir que la niebla del vagón también se hizo amiga nuestra.

DOMINGO

Cuando se suponía que teníamos que ir temprano al evento, acabamos yendo a la misma hora que el día anterior. Cuando llegamos, Marina se fue por su cuenta y Fuko y yo fuimos a comprar las entradas para pasarnos el día en el evento. Este día nos pidieron muchísimas fotos, fue como Ascoeur y Q-Feuille versión 2.0 (véase cosplay de Kiddy Girl-And del salón del manga de 2011). 

Cuando nos cansamos de andar, decidimos ir a la cafetería mega cara del recinto ya que nos apetecía una cerveza. Poco rato después, se nos juntaron Ichigo y Rukia <3

Hacia las 6 de la tarde, ya pusimos punto y final al evento porque ambas teníamos exámenes la semana siguiente.

Definitivamente, fue un evento genial. Primer evento con la Mancomunidad, y otro más con nuestra prole. Lo único "malo" fue que no encontré nada que me hiciera ilusión comprar e iba con un billete de 20€ frustrada por la vida así:

Tomboy day + planes

¡Buenas, mundo!

Hello world!

El jueves pasado Fuko vino a dormir al piso SMTown para pasar el viernes juntas a Barcelona. Esta noche, nuestro gran plan era, básicamente, ver el final del gameplay de Elrubius del juego "Catherine". Nunca me había viciado tanto a un gameplay como lo hice con este. Lo recomiendo altamente, ¡la historia es genial!

Last Thursday, Fuko came to the SMTown flat in order to spend Friday together in Barcelona. That night, our big plan was, basically, watch the Elrubius' gameplay of "Catherine" 's end. I had never been addicted to a gameplay as much as I did to this gameplay. I highly recommend it, the plot is great!

Luego, el viernes fuimos a pasar el día por Barcelona, y como no, con otro look "diferente". Esta vez Fuko decidió lucir su peluca marrón con un look cute y yo decidí ir con un look algo tomboy.

Friday we spent the day in Barcelona and we wore another "different" look. This time, Fuko wore her brown wig with a cute look and I dedided to wear a kinda tomboy look.

Fuimos a comer al coreano barato y nos pedimos kimchi, mandu (gran amor de Fuko) y jjajangmyeon (mi gran amor). 

We had lunch at the "cheap korean restaurant" and we ate kimchi, mandu (Fuko's true love) and jjajangmyeon (my true love).

Más tarde, fuimos a merendar a un Bubbletea con Pocky y pastelitos chinos.

Later, we went to have some snacks at a Bubbletea shop. We also ate Pocky and little Chinese cakes.

Entonces, cada una volvió a su casa y mientras esperábamos a nuestros trenes, nos hacíamos fotos de nosotras mismas en el otro andén del tren. Todo muy normal.

Then, we came back home and, while we were waiting for our trains, we took photos of each other waiting at the other platform.

Estos días hemos estado pensando acerca los eventos cercanos y sus respectivos planes, así que ya que no vamos a ir a la Japan Weekend, hemos hecho planes para los cosplays del Salón del cómic de Barcelona que cae en mayo este año.

Last days we've been thinking about the close conventions, so since we're not going to go to the Japan Weekend, we've done some plans for the cosplays of the Barcelona's "Salón del cómic" that is in May this year.

Iremos colgando los procesos de los cosplays, por lo tanto, no se va a tratar de cosplays "secretos". Eso sí, no revelaremos, de momento, los nombres de los personajes.

We'll post some cosplay progress, so they won't be "secret" cosplays. However, for the moment we won't tell the characters' names.
