It's been a while, huh?

I just don't know what to say, I completely abandoned this blog and I thought it would never come back to life...until now.
I'm back and many things happened until now, let me resume them for y'all:

• Soleil joined the Cosplay Contest in the Japan Weekend Con in Barcelona as Luo Tianyi and Yuezheng Ling from Vocaloid China (March Rain)

• Soleil attended the 60th Anniversary Eurovision Song Contest in London, and it was pretty awesome. I saw Dima Bilan and other great artists

• I cosplayed Fëanor (The Silmarillion - Tolkien) and children feared me and some people called me Arwen

• Soleil enjoyed this year's Eurovision Song Contest and voted for Loïc Nottet (Belgium) and Måns Zelmerlöw (Sweden)

• I spent the whole summer working (and living) in a camping as a pizza maker (people used to call me "pizza girl") and I met great people from other countries such as Slovakia, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine and Latvia. 

• I fell in love with Nordic languages.

• I joined the langblr community in tumblr (my url is luo-tenenbaum)

• I started my 3rd year of university.

• I started learning Icelandic.

• I cosplayed Kikuri (Jigoku Shoujo) and Luo Tianyi (Scarlet Ball) with Fuko as Yuezheng Ling at the Manga Con in Barcelona.

• Soleil went to Måns Zelmerlöw's concert in Barcelona. It was so cool!

Hola ~ Siento no haber colgado aún las entradas que dije, pero esta semana he empezado de nuevo la universidad y he estado bastante ocupada. Debo decir también, que me da mucha pereza escribirlas ya que son de eventos del año pasado y tengo que pensar en todos los detalles, aunque fuesen unos eventos geniales. ¡Prometo que las colgaré pronto!

Ayer quedé con Ichigo y fuimos de paseo por Barcelona ~ Estuvimos hablando mucho de AKB0048, ya que vamos a hacer cosplay de Takamina y Yuuko pronto y estamos muy entusiasmadas. También hablamos de ESDLA y de la última película de la trilogía de El Hobbit. ¡Fue una tarde genial! (o^▽^o) También compré una revista para leer en el tren ~

Yesterday I met Ichigo and we went for a walk in Barcelona ~ We talked about AKB0048, since we're cosplaying Takamina and Yuuko soon and we're very excited. We also talked about LOTR and the last film of "The Hobbit" trilogy. It was a great afternoon! (o^▽^o) I also bought a magazine to read on the train ~

No he avanzado más mi cosplay de Fëanor esta semana, pero pronto haré una entrada del proceso.
I haven't done anything more on my Fëanor cosplay this week, but I'll do a WIP post soon.

BOTFA 17/12/14

El día 17 de diciembre, fuimos todas las integrantes del piso Middle Earth al estreno de "El Hobbit. La Batalla de los cinco ejércitos". Nos llevó unos cuantos problemas llegar al cine porque nos equivocamos de sitio y tuvimos que coger un par de taxis para llegar a tiempo.

On the 17th December, Middle Earth flat girls went to "The Hobbit BOTFA" premiere. We had some trouble to arrive to the cinema since we got mistaked about the place and we had to take a couple of taxis in order to arrive at time.

En el segudo y último taxi que tomamos, el conductor vió que estábamos lo que viene a ser muy nerviosas (faltaban 2 minutos para que empezase la película).

In the second and last taxi, the driver noticed that we were very nervous (the movie was starting in 2 minutes).

Conductor: (para romper el hielo) Así que vais al cine...¿qué película vais a ver?

Driver: (breaking the ice) So you're going to the cinema...What film are you going to see?

Una de nosotras: Vamos al estreno de la última de El Hobbit...y ya llegamos tarde...

One of us: We're going to The Hobbit last film premiere...and we're late...

Conductor: ¡Oh! A mi hijo también le gustan estas películas, se ha leído todos los libros. No os preocupéis, me encargaré de que lleguéis a tiempo.

Driver: Oh! My son also likes these films, he has actually read all the books. Don't worry, I'll see to it myself that you arrive at time.

Y llegamos a tiempo. Con palomitas.

And we arrived at time. With popcorn.

No voy a contar la película, si queréis saber qué pasa y qué no, id a verla.

I'm not gonna explain the film, if you wanna know what does happen and what doesn't, go to see it.

Dicho esto, añado que a partir de FILI no dejé de llorar hasta el final de los créditos. Empecemos con los feels.

I have to add that since FILI I kept crying until the credit's end. Let's start with the feels.

Y por si no era suficiente, tenemos la canción de los créditos cantada por Billy Boyd (Pippin) que os hará llorar como si no hubiese mañana.

And if it wasn't enough, then we have the credits song sung by Billy Boyd (Pippin) that will make you cry like a little bitch.

No tengo nada más que decir salvo que nos lo pasamos genial y fue un gran fin de los exámenes del año.

I don't have anymore to say. We had a great time and that was a great way to celebrate the year's exams end

How to become an elf

Since the most part of people from The Silmarillion fandom I've known speaks English, I'm gonna write this entry only in English. Excuse me for that because my English can be such a mess.

So yes, I'm making my first elf cosplay, of one of my favourite elves and my favourite Silmarillion character:

Okay, I'll start by saying that I've completely invented the costume design (as it's obvious) and I've been making some changes in the main design so I can't show you any sketch or something like that. I'll just keep you updated with my wip photos and so on. 

Let's start with the online shopping list:

• Lace front black wig
• Grey lenses (those that I'm almost always wearing but since it's been a year I've been wearing them, I must order new ones)
• Elven ears
• Platforms (Because we don't want Fëanor to be a hobbit)

It can seem a cheap list but the wig and the platforms are f*cking expensive so it won't be a cheap cosplay.

For the tunic I bought 4 meters of red velvet. This fabric is gorgeous, I love it.

I've also made the crown but I still have to add some gems on it, so it's not finished yet.

I've also received my elven ears, they're awesome <3

I've been sewing lately, but I won't post any photo until the next post, where I'll also do a Fëanor costest (wig, make-up, lenses & ears) so keep tuned! :)

Bueno, me complace decir que ya tengo ordenador nuevo, así que las entradas pendientes serán publicadas a lo largo de este mes. (Paciencia, que tengo exámenes).

Well, I'm pleased to announce that I got a new laptop, so the pending entries will be posted around this month (Be patient, I have exams).

No se me ocurre mucho más que contar en esta entrada, sólo que estoy en casa de Fuko y hemos empezado nuevos cosplays. Sí, nuevos cosplays.

Middle Earth & Stuff

¡Buenas tardes! Ya hacía mucho que no actualizaba el blog, ¿verdad? Lo siento mucho ;; No he podido escribir ya que mi portátil lleva semanas muerto (y así sigue). En realidad, estoy escribiendo esta entrada desde el ordenador de Naraja (compañera de piso). Muchas gracias, Naranja.

Good afternoon! It has been a long time I didn't update my blog, don't you think so? I'm so sorry about it. Since my computer hasn't worked for several weeks I couldn't write here. I really missed it. In fact, I'm writing this entry with Naranja's (flatmate) computer. Thank you so much, Naranja.

Pues ya no somos SMTown porque ya no tenemos el hype que teníamos por el kpop. Aún seguimos a nuestros grupos favoritos, pero con más calma. Así que este año somos...Middle Earth! (o Tierra Media, como gustéis). Hace ya unos cuantos meses, descubrimos que somos todas fans de Tolkien (ya lo éramos antes pero no sabíamos que todas lo éramos) así que en Septiembre cambiamos el look de nuestras puertas. Agradecimientos a Sandy, quien hizo los carteles.

We're not SMTown anymore since we don't have as kpop hype as we used to, we still love our favourite groups but the hype is lower. So...this year we are Middle Earth! Many months ago each other discovered that we're all fans of Tolkien (we just didn't know that all of us were fans) so in September we changed our doors appearance. The signs are made by our Sandy, thank you so much!

Este diciembre vamos a ir al estreno de la última película de El Hobbit junto con Ichigo! Tenemos muchísimas ganas de ir (aún no hemos visto los tráilers, demasiados feelings y aún queda un mes).

We're going to the premiere of the last movie of The Hobbit with Ichigo next month. We're very excited about it!! (We haven't even seen the trailers yet, too many feelings).

El septiembre pasado fui a un evento de Barcelona llamado Akihabara@Deep. Ya escribiré una entrada sobre ello :V

This September I went to an anime con that's called Akihabara@Deep, in Barcelona. I'll write an entry to talk about it :V

Una semana antes del Salón del Manga (BCN) fui a casa de Fuko para coser juntas los cosplays. Fui un jueves y el viernes por la mañana Fuko me dejó una nota, cual buen príncipe chino (referencia a uno de los cosplays del SDM) ya que ella había ido al instituto.

A week before the Saló del Manga con (also in Barcelona) I went to Fuko's home to sew our cosplays together. I went to Fuko Town on Thursday and on Friday morning, since Fuko was in highschool she left me a message like a good Chinese prince (reference to Saló del Manga cosplay).

Más tarde, fui a buscarla al instituto y esa tarde quedamos con Sarah y compramos unos accesorios monísimos de su marca Cop de Puny. También fuimos a una cafetería muy cuqui a merendar. Sarah también escribió sobre ello en su blog! Si queréis leerlo --> Aquí

Later I went to her highschool to pick her up, and these afternoon we met Sarah and we bought some cute accessories from her brand Cop de Puny. We also went to a cute coffee shop and ate some snacks. Sarah talks about it too in her blog! If you want to read it --> Entry
